Frequently Asked Questions
WHO DO YOU SERVE?
I provide individual psychotherapy to adults throughout the state of Utah.
HOW WILL WE MEET?
My practice is virtual, so we will meet through a secure, encrypted video platform. You will be provided with detailed instructions.
DO YOU HELP CHILDREN AND COUPLES?
At this time, I only work with individual adults. Please feel free to email me with requests for information on help for children and couples.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
I am out of network for insurance. That means you will be responsible for paying the cost of the session upfront, then I can provide paperwork for you to file for reimbursement from your insurance. Every insurance provider is different, so please contact yours for details.
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
My current rate is $200 per session.
HOW DO YOU INSURE CONFIDENTIALITY?
Your information is protected by the same laws that govern your health records. With a few exceptions outlined by law, anything you share will be kept private. In addition, I employ extra security measures to protect your data.
WHERE CAN I GET HELP RIGHT AWAY?
Some community resources: if you are feeling unable to keep safe, please dial 988 for the crisis line. If you just need to talk, you can call 801-587-1055 for support from 8 AM and 11 PM daily.
DO YOU HAVE A WAITLIST?
I usually maintain a waitlist, though I will close the waitlist when the delay to care becomes too long. You are welcome to email me for details on how the waitlist works.
WILL THERAPY HELP?
Research has consistently shown that psychotherapy helps with most mental and emotional concerns. The best way to determine your specific needs is to schedule a free consultation for personalized feedback.
DO YOU PRESCRIBE MEDICATION?
I am not licensed to prescribe medication. Please feel free to email me with requests for information on mental health prescribers.
